To whom it may concern:
I would like to get some information about an upcoming fund raising event in Gastonia.
I was told by a friend of mine (a cancer survivor) that you are organizing a 5K run on
Labor Day (Sept.6th) somewhere around Lineberger Park in Gastonia. Is this correct?
If so, I would like to participate as a runner in support of my friend. Could you please send me some information on how to register and what to do with the money I get from my sponsors? I appreciate any help and information you can give me.
Sincerely,
Beate Graeter
Kings Mountain, NC
I have sent you more information via email. But, yes, the event will be on Labor Day, Monday, September 6, 2010. The race starts at 8am. The 5K actually starts in the upper portion of Lineberger Park off of Chestnut Street. You can begin collecting sponsor money. Just be sure to keep track of who gave you what amounts. We would like to be able to send them a thank you and letter for their tax records.
Check your email for further information and thank you for your interest!
Are you folks sponsoring the Gaston County Amateur Golf Tourny this year? Couldn’t find anything on your website. Can you email me dates and an entry form.
Thanks,
Jack Eaker
Thank you for your interest! Yes, we will be sponsoring the Amateur again this year. It will be Friday through Sunday, September 17-19. Please check your email for further information!
I have set up a team for Cancer Services of Gaston County for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Charlotte on Saturday, October 2, 2010. I invite everyone to either donate to the cause or join the team and run / walk with us. For more information, go to http://www.komencharlotte.org or contact me directly.
Thank you for your successful and educational billboard in Gaston and Lincoln counties which says, “Think of 8 women you know. Now pick one. 1 in 8 women are diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Prevention. Early Detection. Cure.” I drive past the billboard on NC-16 in Denver almost every day. I am a volunteer with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Charlotte. I have 2 family members who are breast cancer survivors. Thank you for the powerful and educational message. Patty Korn.
