Seeds of Strength Garden

Volunteers Needed!

Seeds of Strength Garden

Location

306 S. Columbia St. Gastonia, NC 28054

Cancer affects more than a person’s health—it can also impact their ability to access healthy, affordable food. Research estimates that between 17% and 55% of individuals navigating a cancer diagnosis experience food insecurity, creating additional challenges during treatment and recovery.

That’s why Cancer Services of Gaston County is launching the Seeds of Strength Garden—a community garden dedicated to providing fresh, nutritious produce directly to our cancer clients throughout the year.

Healthy food helps provide the strength and energy our clients need as they face treatment, recovery, and survivorship. With your help, we can make fresh produce more accessible to those who need it most.

🌿 We’re looking for volunteers of all ages and experience levels!
Whether you’re an individual, family, church group, club, sports team, or community organization, we’d love for you to join us.

Volunteer opportunities include:
🌱 Planting
💧 Watering
🥕 Harvesting
🤝 Building community and supporting local cancer patients

No gardening experience is required—just a willingness to help make a difference.

Together, we can grow more than vegetables. We can grow hope, health, and community.
